FARHAN IQBAL, PH.D.

I am an assistant professor at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. My research lies in organizational theory, examining how organizations and leaders respond to and shape their social and economic environments. In particular, most of my work tends to explore how various stakeholders incentivize, pressure, and evaluate organizations, as well as how organizations may better balance their audiences’ different interests.

My research has been published or is forthcoming in leading journals such as Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, Organizational Research Methods, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, and Strategic Management Journal.

Prior to academia, I worked for the Frito-Lay division of PepsiCo. I worked in various roles spanning brand management, strategic insights and analytics, and corporate purpose, across several business units, such as Multipacks, Rold Gold, Tostitos, Lay’s, and more.
